Get to the venue

The event can be accessed by car or via public transport. If you are accessing by car, please enter via McGregor Road.

There are regular public transport buses to and from Smithfield, please check out the Translink Journey Planner to plan your travel. The bus station you will need to exit to get to the event is the “James Cook University Station” on Route 111.

Parking

There is limited parking available at the venue. We encourage patrons to utilise public transport where possible. Parking at the venue will incur a fee of $5 (cash or card), managed by and donated to Marlin Coast Men’s Shed.

Accessibility

Crankworx Cairns is located in Smithfield Mountain Bike Park, and while it is accessible to wheelchair users, weather and mud may make it difficult to get around. We endeavour to keep the park as accessible as possible throughout the event. There is accessible parking located close to the venue and accessible bathrooms onsite.

Food Vendors

A bunch of local food vendors will be onsite to make sure you don’t go hungry! We will also have plenty of bar options to quench your thirst after a big day.

FAQs

CAN I BUY PASSES AND PREMIUM UPGRADES AT THE GATE?

Passes & Upgrades will be sold on the gate unless sold out. We encourage everyone to prepurchase their pass online at Crankworx » Cairns to avoid long wait times.

WHEN WILL PREMIUM UPGRADES BE AVAILABLE?

Premium upgrades are not currently available but will be announced soon. All ticket holders will be emailed to be alert to when the Premium Upgrade program become available for purchase.

WHAT AGE IS A CHILD AT CRANKWORX CAIRNS?

Child prices apply to children aged 5 – 15 years old as of the day of the event. Children aged 4 years and under can enter free of charge.

WHY ARE PRICES DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT DAYS?

The higher the price the bigger the action. Saturday is the double header day featuring 2 x pro final events, therefore the Saturday Day Pass is more expensive than other days. Sunday is the big show, with the Slopestyle final.

IF I PURCHASE A FRIDAY SINGLE DAY PASS AND I DON’T ATTEND, CAN I USE MY PASS FOR ANOTHER DAY?

Unfortunately, your Single Day Pass can only be used on the specific day listed on the pass.

I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND THE EVENT, CAN I GET A REFUND FOR MY PASS/UPGRADE?

All sales are final, unfortunately refunds will not be granted unless applicable under Australian Consumer Law.

I ENTERED MY DETAILS INCORRECTLY WHEN PURCHASING MY PASS/UPGRADE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I CANNOT FIND MY PASS, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You can jump onto the Crankworx Cairns Passes page and scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Please resend my Ticket” or you can contact crankworx@auscycling.org.au and we will arrange for your pass to be reissued.

WHY DOES MY TICKET SAY UNREGISTER?

This just means you have a ticket that you have not allocated to a specific person. You can hand it to anyone of your friends or family before entering the venue.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE?

Yes, there is limited parking at the venue. We encourage all patron to utilise all public transport where possible. Parking at the venue will incur a fee per daily entry. The daily entry fee will go towards a local community group.

IS THERE A LIST OF EXHIBITORS?

The 2024 exhibitors list will on the website very soon! Keep your eyes peeled.

ARE PETS ALLOWED AT THE EVENT?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the venue, please leave your furry friends at home.

WHAT CAN’T I BRING INTO THE EVENT SITE?

A more detailed list of things of what you can’t bring into the event site will be listed soon. It is a fully licensed area so there is strictly no Alcohole is permitted.
